The Yellow Room Appeal, a two-year campaign to raise the funds required, has been helped along by a founding donation of $100,000 from Packsaddle, $5000 from Friends of NERAM, and a personal donation of $25,000 from Philip Bacon, a leading Brisbane art dealer and the guest speaker at the unveiling of the painting at the NERAM Foundation Dinner on June 23.

The Margaret Olley Trust (MOT) is keen to help NERAM acquire The Yellow Room Triptych and will contribute funds for staffing so that NERAM can build the infrastructure it needs to secure the institution’s long-term sustainability as the custodian of the masterpiece.

The MOT has donated another Olley painting, Basket of Oranges, Lemons and Jug (1966) to the NERAM collection, as well as a series of limited edition prints of that particular artwork for fundraising.

The Yellow Room Appeal welcomes donations of any amount – for more details and to donate online, go to www.neram苏州美甲美睫培训.au.

* MARGARET Olley: A Life in Paint, a one-hour Artscape special feature, will screen on ABC1 on Tuesday July 24 at 9.30pm.
