All business was capably dealt with and a healthy bank balance recorded.

Social secretary Rosalie recorded nine birthdays and one wedding anniversary.

Lucky winner of the birthday cake was Margaret Frost who was celebrating her 90th birthday along with Jean Freudenstein, also 90 years young.

Congratulations from all members.

Tourist officer Coral reported on the up coming events.

A three day tour to Griffith departing from Loaders Depot 7.30am on Monday August 27. Cost per person $300, deposit of $100 to be paid at July meeting.

All money for trips must now be paid directly to Probus and not to Loaders or the bank as previously, this will make it so much easier for our tourist officer and treasurer.

Dubbo October 9 and Bathurst October 27 or 28 – more information on these trips in the near future.

Margaret Thorncraft gave an interesting and extensive report on the Wyangala Dam day trip.

A members report was also presented on the friendship day held in Gilgandra where 16 of our members attended – a most enjoyable day.

Gwen Clark one of our entertainment officers introduced guest speaker Lyn Grey former school teacher turned airline pilot instructor who is based at Cowra Airport.

Lyn held everyone’s attention and answered multiple questions.

Past President Jim expressed a vote of thanks and made a presentation to Lyn.

Both Gwen and Sally always invite excellent speakers and this is a very important component to each of our meetings.

Members do appreciate the time you both spend carrying out your position.

It would be greatly appreciated if members could arrive a little earlier to sign in for the meeting to prevent congestion at the door.

Next meeting, June 18, at 10.00am in the Grenfell Bowling Club.

Visitors made welcome.

Door keepers: Betty Dixon and Eunice Clark.

Morning tea duty: Faye Taylor, Meg Makin, Mavis Payne and Colleen Harris.
