President Esma Baker welcomed members, we sang the anthems and recited our motto and to honour our Queen we sang “God Save the Queen” to commemorate the Golden Jubilee.
Robyn read the minutes of our previous meeting as Secretary Judy was involved in the School Recitation Day.
On June 23 International and Cultural Day will be held at the Cowra Golf Club, cars will leave our CWA rooms by 9am.
The competition is for a Terracotta Pot, 15 centimetres in size, to be decorated.
Esma gave a report on the Young Council meting.
Treasurer Robyn Logan gave the Treasurers report, and Mavis Drogemuller gave the shop report.
Handicraft officer Ruth McKellar displayed articles from Handicraft Day and congratulated the owners.
The branch competition for next year is four coasters.
Edith Taylor, Cultural Officer read us an article “The obituary of Conman Actual, a very true article.
Sonia Groen, Ag and Environment Officer gave a very interesting report about Toxic Farms of Energy.
X-rays should be minimized if possible and we should protect ourselves from radiation and ultra violet light (from sunlight).
We should wear protective clothing and UV protective glasses.
With microwave ovens, use glass or ceramic bowls, not plastic or plastic wrap.

At the next Council meeting in Young Fiona Simpson will be the guest speaker, all interested members are welcome to attend.
This year our Group Conference will be held in Harden on October 22, cost is $22 per person.
2013 NSW State Conference will be held in Moree in May.
If any members would like to attend the cost will be $500 for coach and accommodation, $100 deposit, payable to Judy or Robyn.
Our meeting closed with a cuppa.
Next meeting is on July 5, new members welcome.
Our Branch will be catering for the MPS Birthday party on Friday June 29.
